Grant Writing Workshops
Logan City Council’s Community Grants Team are delivering grant writing workshops for organisations looking to increase their understanding of grant writing, and for those interested in applying for the upcoming Community Project Grant youth round.
Grants of up to $10,000 are currently available for youth and intergenerational projects (applications close Sunday 22 March). The workshops aim to build confidence in writing a grant application and strengthening project ideas.
Morning session – Grant Writing Essentials: Learn the basic of grant writing and find out more about Council’s grant programs.
Afternoon session – Writing a Community Project Grant Application: This session will focus on Community Project Grant application requirements, including:
- planning your project
- working with partners
- building a simple budget
- tips for completing your application.
These sessions are ideal for organisations planning to apply for the current Community Project Grant youth round, particularly:
- not‑for‑profit organisations, state government entities or social enterprises
- multicultural or First Nations groups
- organisations new to applying for grants or wanting to strengthen their grant writing skills.

Afternoon session – Writing a Community Project Grant Application: 12 noon – 2 pm
