Nest Box Neighbours: Building Backyard Habitats
Get ready for a hands-on session where you’ll get the opportunity to learn how to build, install, monitor and maintain nest boxes for hollow-dependent wildlife.
Many Australian wildlife rely on tree hollows for a safe place to shelter, nest and protect their young. When natural hollows aren’t available, nest boxes offer an alternative hollow for our wildlife neighbours.
Each group will be provided with materials and guided through the assembly of a nest box to install in your garden. This event is a great opportunity to contribute to habitat conservation in your backyard.
