Big win for little athletes

More than 100 families are members of the Browns Plains Little Athletics Club. The club has become an admired and successful institution in Division 7.

That’s why Councillor Tim Frazer recently allocated funding from the Division 7 Local Infrastructure Program for improvements to the club.

A new 10-metre by 6-metre shelter, storage container, fans for the meeting room, new paths, additional shade areas and external lighting are proposed.

‘With a new season underway, it’s important the club and its members have the facilities they need,’ Cr Frazer says.

‘Sport and athletics help to keep kids fit and provide avenues for parents to develop social connections that increase wellbeing in the community.’

Browns Plains Little Athletics Club is on Vansittart Road, Regents Park.
