New $3 million community health delivery
Community leaders have come together in Logan to celebrate a new children’s health and wellbeing program valued at up to $3 million, with a mission to increase quality of life, physical activity and access to nourishing food.
Over the next 3 years, Logan Together will receive up to $3 million in funding to co-deliver the Feel Good Futures Logan program, in collaboration with the Logan community.
Launched in 2015, Logan Together is a transformative, whole-of-community movement focused on ensuring that children aged up to 8 years old, and their families, achieve holistic wellbeing. By bringing together the community, government, funders and the service sector, Logan Together tackles common issues to ensure Logan’s children are happy, healthy and thriving.
Logan is one of Queensland’s fastest growing regions, home to an estimated 392,339 people in 2024 and projected to exceed 500,000 residents by 2036, according to the Logan Office of Economic Development.
Australian Bureau of Statistics national figures from 2023 show rapid growth intensifies pressure on families already facing challenges, with 13.2 per cent of households in Australia experiencing food insecurity.
Logan Together wants to address the need for community-driven programs that support children’s health and wellbeing.

‘This is a significant investment into our community’s wellbeing and an incredibly rare and valuable opportunity for our community to be directly involved in meaningful action to help every child in Logan thrive,’ Logan Together Executive Director Michelle Lucas says.
‘Feel Good Futures will be underpinned by the community-led approach to wellbeing in Logan and is focused on delivering impactful and sustainable change.
‘So while we’ll be working closely with school aged children, the solutions will also support the wider community now and into the future.’
The initiative is funded by global healthcare and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk through its Cities for Better Health program, which takes a preventative approach to defeating serious chronic diseases, working in partnership with over 50 cities around the world to encourage healthier urban living and more play time for children.

Novo Nordisk Oceania Senior Medical Director Dr Ana Svensson says the company understands that prevention and early intervention are essential to building healthier futures.
‘Feel Good Futures Logan will offer children and families in Logan the support they need to form long-term healthy habits,’ Dr Svensson says.
‘This initiative is grounded in global evidence and shaped locally through co-design, ensuring the solutions delivered in community hubs truly reflect the needs of Logan families.
‘By partnering with Logan Together and local leaders, we’re investing in changes that will continue to benefit the community well beyond the first three years.’
