5 ways to keep fit in Logan without breaking the bank

If you want to feel better and live a healthier lifestyle, check out these low-cost Active and Healthy program activities. With options like yoga, dancing and martial arts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy without breaking the bank.  

 Some activities require bookings, so don’t forget to read the fine print for each activity. 

1. Start practising yoga

Join this beginner-friendly Hatha Yoga practice and get out of your head through breath and body movements for only $5 a session.  For ages 12 and above, please bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Questions? Contact Artsana on 0405 966 848.

 2. Learn the fundamentals of martial arts

This fun class covers the basics of martial arts, where you’ll learn how to kick, punch and grapple. Perfect for beginners, this $3 class is suitable for ages 10 and above. Don’t forget to wear comfortable clothing. Questions? Contact KMA Brisbane on 0410 645 552.

3. Get into the swing with jazz dancing

Learn for fun and fitness with beginners’ jazz dancing. Suitable for 18 years and above, this $5 class can be completed in bare feet and socks or jazz shoes. Remember to wear gym clothes and bring along a water bottle and towel. Questions?  Contact Logan Dance Academy on 0413 059 338.

4. Stretch and enjoy gentle exercise

This light group training includes resistance, stretching and cardiovascular exercise. It’s suitable for those who enjoy light intensity workouts and achievable for those a little older in age. 5. Enjoy the thrill of wakeboarding

This program caters to all ages and ability levels and is fabulous fun at only $7 per session. With training from qualified coaches, you’ll be on top of a wakeboard and hitting the ramps sooner than you think. Suitable for those ages 8 and above.
