'Pet Picks' of the week - dogs needing new homes
Meet the current collection of darned cute pooches who are ready to be fetched for a new home.
Some pets have been waiting more than 100 days to find their new owner, such as Pingu the 1-year-old cattle dog with a bright and bouncy personality, and 3-year-old Scott, the American staffordshire terrier mixed with border collie/kelpie, who walks beautifully on a lead for daily outings.
There are also some young pups waiting for their forever home, including 4-month-old Damon the boxer, and 3-month-old Copper, the boisterous mastiff/Collie mix who already weighs 11 kilograms.
All these puppies and dogs are the Pet Picks of the week at the Kingston Animal Management Centre and ready for adoption.
Each pet is listed on the Council website with their own photo, helpful details and their personal story, including details of their behaviour, what they love and sometimes how many months they have been waiting for adoption. There is also information on their profile about whether they are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
So all that’s left to do is visit, have a cuddle, view the pet adoption terms, pay the adoption fee and take your new furry friend home.

There are also pet adoption terms.
Please note: The pets included in this article cannot be placed ‘on hold’ for adoption and some may have already found new homes since this article was published. BLANKET DONATION DRIVE
Logan City Council is calling on the community to help keep cats and dogs cosy this winter, with the return of its annual blanket donation drive.
Clean blankets and towels provide much needed warmth and comfort for animals spending winter at the Animal Management Centre, while they wait to find their family.
Donations can be dropped off 24/7 at Council’s Animal Management Centre on Queens Road in Kingston.
Residents can also drop their donations off at one of Council’s Customer Service Centres at Logan Central, Jimboomba or Beenleigh, during opening hours.
