Flame festival ignites community spirit

Logan City Council’s Flame BBQ Street Festival has struck a match with local food and music lovers.

More than 8,000 people turned up for a taste at Jimboomba Park on Saturday, 21 September – and they weren’t disappointed.

The now-annual festival went down well among attendees and vendors who were stoked with its huge variety of food, live music and entertainment offerings.

Division 9 Councillor Scott Bannan says there are no plans to turn down the heat.

‘We cranked things up this year with more food, more music and more entertainment including rides and activities for everyone,’ Cr Bannan says.

‘The local community got behind us, and people got together with friends, family and neighbours for a great night out.

‘We know this event can only get better, which is why we’re already making plans for Flame 2025.’

Council’s Flame BBQ Street Festival will be held in September each year.
