Logan hosts first Limitless All Ability Cup

The beat of music and the excitement of new friendships will fill Logan Metro Sports Fields on Saturday 22 August as the city welcomes the inaugural Limitless All Ability Cup.

More than just a rugby league event, the free community celebration is set to showcase the power of inclusion, connection and participation, creating a space where everyone has the chance to shine.

Delivered by Active Heroes and Warriors Inspire Logan, with support from Logan City Council, local businesses and community organisations, the event will bring together people of all ages and abilities for a day packed with fun, activity and community spirit.

Active Heroes co-founder Jason Tupou says the Limitless All Ability Cup is about much more than sport.

‘This event is about bringing people together and celebrating what’s possible when everyone has the opportunity to participate, connect and belong,’ Jason says.

For Active Heroes, which creates inclusive rugby league opportunities for people living with disability, the event represents a chance to break down barriers and open new pathways for participation.

Whether participants are stepping onto a rugby league field for the very first time or returning to a sport they love, the focus is on creating positive experiences and lasting memories.

The event showcases the impact of Warriors Inspire Logan, a partnership between the One New Zealand Warriors, Logan City Council and Ausbuild that uses rugby league to create pathways for young people to succeed on and off the field.

Everyone is welcome, from people living with disability and their families to carers, support workers, friends and community members. Best of all, no rugby league experience is required.

Jason says the collaboration between Active Heroes and Warriors Inspire Logan has created something truly special for Logan’s all-abilities community.

‘Active Heroes and Warriors Inspire Logan share a belief that rugby league can bring people together in powerful ways,’ he says.

‘This event creates a space where people of all abilities can enjoy the game, build confidence and be part of something special.’

From 9 am to 2 pm, participants can dive into a wide variety of activities, including rugby league skills and drills, Leagueability tag games, team challenges and family-friendly entertainment.

Beyond the action on the field, there will be sensory and chill-out zones, inflatable attractions, food trucks, a live DJ and a celebratory awards presentation followed by a disco party.
